As a boy in elementary school, we often sang
songs from a state-of-california song-textbook. Most of the songs
and singing seemed hokey to me (I preferred The Beatles, thank
you), but a few songs, Shenandoah among them, I sang with gusto.
My love for the song Shenandoah has continued and, yay, increased
over time. I spent many joyous hours in the studio singing this,
over and over, until it felt just right.
